A big YAWN if you ask me! But a wise DJ said to me once, "the three important things that make a good DJ is one who knows what to play, when to play it and how to play it." This applies very well to this weeks DJ of the Week, Baby Yu.

Baby Yu is from Canada, which seems to be pumping out DJs these days like a major export. Baby Yu is not afraid to play Top 40 jams, Hip Hop crossovers, and catchy dance tunes to get a crowd amped but, it's how he does it that sets him apart. Baby Yu manages to get you excited about a song, even if you've heard it a hundred times before or not at all.

Baby Yu is not afraid to cross genres, dig deep into your granddaddies record crates let alone the CD bin, or play tracks that some might consider cheesy. He sez "F that", and drops it in his set in such a way that wallflowers hiding in the dark will find themselves reaching towards the dance floor as if chasing sunlight.

Yes, an exciting DJ in a sea of mediocrity, you would do yourself a favor by checking him out now. Be warned though, after hearing Baby Yu in action your next outing to a club just might put you to sleep. I'm just saying.
