It’s that time of year again folks, when talking about drinking blood and decapitating corpses is OK, kids can talk to strangers and whores are to be loved. Ah, what a special time of year indeed. It wouldn’t be complete however, without some frighteningly good music, and we have just the right mixes, three of them in fact, to scare up some booty-shaking on the dance floor of your sure to be scary house party!
First up we have DJ Danny Beats. This is the second time we feature a mix from DJ Danny Beats, a DJ from Huntsville, Alabama who should, based on what his mixes sound like, be expanding his territory soon. This mix is only 30 minutes, a length we have purposely never featured in one of our WeekendMix’s before (we aim for 60 min or better), but what he does in that time is simply so outstanding we just had to share it with you!
DIRTY SOUTH JOE
Next we have Dirty South Joe and his "Murdered Michael Myers Mix For Fantastic Planet". This one sits comfortably in the middle of our collection for a reason. It continues with the party feel set up in the first mix, but then, just like in a good (or bad for that matter) horror movie, things start to get a little crazy. Distorted basslines, erratic beats and synths that mess with your head, and at over an hour in length, you won’t be escaping the madness anytime soon!
Lastly, we have Omar Doom from Los Angeles. Seriously, with a name like that, you should already be scared. His set is better suited for the wee hours of the morning, when the few remaining revelers have to step over the scattered bodies of victims that succumbed to the deadly drinks you served up at the bar. Omar sets a dark, creepy mood with wicked organs, plenty of evil sounding chants, calls for Satan, screaming females, and more fun Halloween goodies mixed with a great playlist of just the right music for your zombies to feast to.
Have a great Halloween party people and remember don’t drink blood and drive!
