Jay-J is undoubtedly a legend in House Music. Spanning a career with over 150 releases, he’s won a Grammy® nomination, had his own Coke® bottle for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, DJ’d the 2006 MTV® VMAs and launched two compilation series for Defected. Jay-J’s syndicated radio show, “Live From…”, allows fans to join him live from his gigs worldwide, showcasing the latest tracks from his signature, Funky House/West Coast sound. As a producer, you’ll see his name on the biggest releases from Moulton Studios, OM, Naked Music and Defected. He’s remixed artists from Jill Scott to Joss Stone and has collaborated with producers from Kaskade to Miguel Migs. On his label, Shifted Music, you’ll find releases by Jay-J as well as some of the best talent he’s discovered while sharing his passion for House Music around the globe. FREAKY FIZZLE (ADG/Seduction Radio UK)
Influenced by DJ/Producers such as Mark Farina, Derrick Carter, Grant Nelson, Sonny Fodera, and Dennis Ferrer, this Brooklyn-based, Los Angeles-bred DJ has been slowly building steam with his unique brand of dance music, aptly described as "groovin' soul".
Freaky Fizzle's signature sound can be best described as soulful dance music with a jackin' edge. Rooted in House, his sets meticulously interweave funky bass lines, booty shaking beats, and smooth vocals in an effort to drive the dance floor absolutely bananas. And given that he can cite musical influences from just about any genre, including Classical, Disco, Hip Hop, Merengue, and R&B, his mixes show a sonic range and stylistic virtuosity that is truly his own. -
