Our Mission

1200Dreams mission is to provide a space where nitelife professionals can network and develop their careers, all while being supplied with the latest news and happenings through in-depth news, interviews, and reporting of the people, places, technology, and experiences that make up nightlife culture worldwide.

What is 1200Dreams?

Depends on which side of the booth you are on. For the party people that go to clubs the dreams consists of those ideas, thoughts, and feelings which require a little coercing to break free from the subconscious. It’s on the dance floor, in moments shared with friends or alone with just a song or a beat, that these dreams are unleashed and sometimes finally understood.

For DJ's, the dreams begin with the songs they gather and the inspiration that comes from them, it’s the motivation as they make their way to that most coveted of spots behind the turntables, where one of the last dreams is to rock the crowd.

But why 1200 of them? The main instrument with which the DJ works his magic, the instrument that has been bringing this magic to the party people of the world for the last 35 years is the Technics 1200 turntable. We feel there is no better way to pay homage to this most magnificent of tools than this. Plus, it sounds cool!

The Concept

1200Dreams.com is a social network for and about DJ's and nitelife culture, a site where nitelife professionals can connect, and more. 1200Dreams also aims to provide an insider’s view of nitelife culture through in-depth news, interviews, and reporting of the people, places, technology, and experiences that make up the underground culture.

The structure of 1200Dreams is different from your average network. The site mirrors that of a club and all the characters found there can be found on 1200Dreams; Promoters, Club/Venue owners, Artists, and of course Party People make up the audience, and just like in a club, the DJ, holds it down.

Besides the normal social networking capabilities, the ability to set up your own page, post pictures, videos, events, and more, we also have a growing editorial section.

In our SPOTLITE section on 1200Dreams.com, you can find our growing coverage on the latest industry happenings as well as our exclusive and growing collection of video interviews with world renowned DJ's and producers.

We are gearing up to produce more videos and provide our audience with even more interviews; some will be shot in a professional studio and others on location. Guest interviews, on location recording of special events, top DJ's, top clubs, the best tech being used by the DJ's, producers, and the clubs, music videos, tutorials, and more will all be featured on 1200Dreams.

Currently, we are in what we have termed the "underground stage" - we have laid the foundation, opened our doors, and are creating the buzz necessary to attract the hip crowds looking for the next big thing. Our ultimate plan, however, is to be around after they have cleared, firmly established as a valuable source for nitelife professionals, and a legitimate news source for those interested in the culture that thrives when everyone else goes to bed.
